Linden, PA - Station 2 was dispatched for a reported brush fire along Route 220 East of the firehouse. Brush 2 and Tanker 2 responded to Herlocher Lane and began extinguishing the fire. Old Lycoming was special called to assist when the fire spread into the median of Route 220. Brush 14 and Special Unit 14 responded and assisted with extinguishment and traffic control. Route 220 NB traffic was briefly stopped for fire operations.
The Woodward Twp. VFC along with Stations 3,45,31,5 were dispatched at 23:26 to 1239 W Emery's Church Rd for a reported structure fire that was well involved. Tanker 2 was first unit on the scene and confirmed the dispatch report and that all occupants were out of the structure. Command requested 2 additional Tankers which Tankers from Station 7 and 14 were dispatched. All units cleared the scene by 02:25.
Woodward Twp. VFC along with numerous other Lycoming & Clinton County fire departments responded to a structure fire at 07:57. Chief 1-2 was the first to arrive on scene and encountered and well involved structure that was built in the mid 1850's. This was a very difficult fire to fight. Thanks to all departments involved in fighting this fire. Pictures are compliments of a neighbor that was on scene.
Station 2 and Micu 94 were dispatched at 03:12 this morning to the 7400 Blk. of N. Route 220 for a rollover vehicle accident with possible entrapment. Units arrived on scene to find that a Jeep attempted to make a left handed U-turn to head south on Route 220 and turned right into the path of a tractor trailer. Station 2 and Micu 94 were dispatched to the 2500 Blk. Quenshukeny Rd. for a vehicle accident with unknown injury, vehicle in a ditch. Units arrived on scene to find the driver confined to the vehicle. Driver was removed and transported to the hospital. The vehicle lost control, hit the guard rails, into ditch for about 100', hit a small tree and flipped end over end over a small creek and landed on its wheel facing the opposite direction. Station 2 was dispatched to the area of Route 220 and Stewart St., Woodward Twp. for a 2 vehicle accident with no injury but debris scattered all over the road. Squad 2 arrived on scene and found a van had run into the rear of a garbage truck as it was turning onto Stewart St. Squad 2 assisted PA State Police with traffic control until both vehicles were removed.
Station 2 was dispatched to a reported vehicle fire in the 200 Blk. of Windswept Dr. Squad 2 arrived on scene to find a vehicle completely burned up and almost out. The rest of the fire was extinguished and the field it was in was wet down to prevent any additional field fire. It was determined the vehicle was stolen from the City of Williamsport earlier that morning and was in a rollover vehicle accident and caught fire. Station 2 was one of many departments in Lycoming County dispatched to weather related incidents due to a severe thunder storm that crossed the State of PA. Station 2 units handle 9 storm related incidents. The pictures were taken along Antlers Club Ln. along the Susquehanna River, one of many trees damaged.
At 15:16 Tanker 2 was special called to 827 Private Rd 101 in Brown Twp, Lycoming Co. for a brush/woods fire that extended to 2 buildings. By the time Tanker 2 arrived on scene the fires were placed under control and Tanker 2 was placed in staging until released at 16:12.
Squad and Tanker 2 were special called for a barn fire on Furnace Run Rd Watson Twp. Squad 2 was directed to set up a fill site at a pond on the property and Tanker 2 was to join the tanker shuttle. Both units were available at 18:39
At 09:43 Station 2, Tankers 7,8,14, Rescue 45 and Micu 94 were dispatched to 6235 N. Route 220 Hwy. Lot 22 for a structure fire. As Squad 2 was arriving in the area heavy smoke was coming from the structure. Station 2 and Micu94 were dispatched at 15:20 to the area of Route 220 and S. Glosser Rd in the township for a vehicle accident with unknown injuries. Chief 2 arrived on scene to find 2 vehicles in the median on the north bound side, Pennsylvania State Police were already on scene. No injuries were reported to Chief 2, recalled all units, just traffic control was needed. All units were avaiable at 15:55
